All production has ground to a halt, booze is running out, and a goblin siege sitting outside the fortress wondering about the strange noises coming from inside. Now I have several berserk dwarves (and one berserk horse) rampaging in the fortress, dwarves going insane at an escalating rate, miasma everywhere, and nobody is making coffins or burying the ever-multiplying corpses. Meanwhile, yet another vampire arrived with the latest migration wave and killed somebody's baby. Unfortunately I made a mistake with the channeling designations, and five miners were lost in a massive cave-in, including my two original, now-legendary miners. I sent my miners to dig my usual first line of anti-goblin defense, a 20-level pit, above which is suspended a narrow strip of floor filled with wooden weapon traps (which make goblins dodge into the pit without cluttering the bridge). He exploded.ĭisaster strikes my volcano fortress, Inkymaw. I couldn't approach him, so I picked up a rock and threw it at him. Except of course for the one titan that was a blob of fire with two tails. For example, my titan killing activities basically consist of holding down forward for a few hundred attacks, whittling them down till they bleed to death, all the while being completely undetected. maybe I'll jump down into the sewers and infect some goblins.Įdit: Legendary Ambusher is.
DWARF FORTRESS MIASMA FULL
Now when I start my dwarf fortress there will be at least 16 more werelephants in the world to come attack me at some point, though before that I have a few more days of full moon. All the normal guys got beat to death in about 4 or 5 ticks, usually by things like wool hoods that the transformed gentlemen had taken off when they became enormous. While they were distracted I jumped in a pool of water, started sneaking, and slipped away (There's no way I could single-handedly take 16 transformed werelephants, particularly when already injured from the few times I was spotted the previous night). OH NOs! Looks like I missed 4 or 5 of them because the ones that had already transformed immediately turned on and attacked the non-werelephants in the warband. Well, as I was sleeping I was ambushed by the warband. I infected 16 of them, couldn't find anyone else so I snuck off to rest and let them change. Success! I attacked a warband at night as a werelephant, killed their leader, and then snuck around camp biting everyone I could find. He went on to make Gleamsquirt the green glass harp. The only dwarf left alive after its rampage was they fey one, who managed to live by clinging to that wall a Z level below the dragonbreath He was knocked out and then repeatedly stabbed by the trap until he died. The dragon then went around chasing the dwarves around and extending to them the fiery magic breath greeting of friendship, until he hit a pocket of my weapontraps. It was a good plan, but then the dragon followed him and breathed fire, destroying the bridges that gave access to my fortress, so military was stuck inside, other 4 were stuck outside. The dragon immediately goes after them, they flee, except for the fey dwarf, who just runs back towards the fortress.
Then I notice 4 of my dwarves are outside doing various jobs, one of which is in a fey mood I do not think its a big problem since he is far off, and I am hoping he hits one of my cage traps So my fort is at 196 dwarves now and things are going pretty well.ĭragon appears. It's funny because the Legends mode doesn't label things well and says the Dwarves elected a crone, even though *at the time* he wasn't :P It just kind of lists the end state of all the historical figures as their current/last state. There was something like that in Captain Duck's 2012 tutorial videos where the first dwarf king was captured and turned into a crone or something in the first year. Also, only one necromancer in the world, what's up with that? The only artifacts in the entire 250 year history are the Slab that the necromancer used to become a necromancer and the half dozen books he's written, mainly about himself and the human race in general. Her history is kind of short, I'd like to see what would become of her given more than 250 years. I kinda want to play that world and see if I can get the queen to show up.Įdit: I also wish you could tell it to generate more time on a world you've already made. The first one I made was fairly young and I noticed that the first dwarf listed under historical figures in legend mode was a vampire, and, you guessed it, queen from year 1 - present.
